Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Suisse Wallet ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects information in connection with your use of the Suisse Wallet desktop application, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Suisse Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that enables users to generate and manage cryptographic private keys and interact with blockchain networks. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Swiss data protection law, including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Non-Custodial Nature of the Service
Suisse Wallet is a non-custodial wallet. This means that we:
- Do not have access to your private keys
- Do not store your seed (recovery) phrase
- Do not control, initiate, or reverse any blockchain transactions
- Cannot access, freeze, or recover your digital assets
All cryptographic keys are generated and stored locally on your device. You are the sole custodian of your assets.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Encrypted private keys
- Recovery phrase (seed phrase)
- Wallet addresses
- Transaction metadata and history
- User preferences and settings
3.2 Information We May Collect Automatically
To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, we may collect limited, non-identifying technical data, such as:
- Application version
- Operating system and browser type
- Device type (desktop, mobile)
- Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics
- Crash and error reports
We do not collect personal identity information (such as name, email, or phone number) unless you voluntarily provide it — for example, when contacting our support team.
3.3 Blockchain Data
Blockchain networks are public and decentralised. When you submit a transaction, the following information becomes publicly visible on the blockchain and is not controlled by Suisse Wallet:
- Your public wallet address
- Transaction amounts, recipients, and timestamps
- Smart-contract interactions
4. How We Use Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Ensure security and prevent fraud or abuse
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable under the FADP or GDPR, our processing of personal data is based on:
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the Service, improving performance
- Consent — for optional analytics and non-essential cookies (where applicable)
- Legal obligations — compliance with Swiss and applicable international law
6. Data Retention
We retain automatically collected data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy or to comply with legal obligations. Typically, aggregated analytics data is retained for no more than 24 months.
Locally stored wallet data (private keys, seed phrase, preferences) remains entirely under your control and can be deleted by removing the application from your device.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- End-to-end local encryption of private keys
- Cryptographically secure key generation
- Encrypted local storage
- Minimal data-collection architecture
- Regular security audits and code reviews
No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and recovery phrase.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may interact with or rely on third-party services, including:
- Blockchain networks and RPC node providers
- Price-feed and market-data providers
- Analytics services (anonymised data only)
- Third-party decentralised applications (dApps)
These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. Suisse Wallet is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party.
9. International Data Transfers
Where limited technical data is processed outside of Switzerland, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under Swiss and EU law.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
For Swiss residents, the competent authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the latest revision was made. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
